Malmö FF have secured the signature of Lilian Häggkvist, a 17-year-old forward who has penned a three-year deal with the Swedish club.
However, Häggkvist won't be pulling on a Malmö shirt just yet. The youngster heads straight back to Enskede IK on loan, with a full move to Malmö pencilled in for 2027.
Sporting director Maxim Khalil expressed his enthusiasm about the acquisition, noting that Häggkvist's profile is an excellent match for the squad's attacking options. He praised her physical strength, pace, and ability on the ball as standout qualities, as reported by Fotbollskanalen.
It's a clear investment in the future from Malmö - snapping up a promising teenager and giving her time to develop before integrating her into the first team setup.
