Leicester drew 1-1 with Manchester United, with defender Asmita Ale grabbing the goal. Sarah Mayling's return adds depth. Newcastle, meanwhile, beat United courtesy of Kathleen McGovern's winner. Jordan Nobbs remains a Fantasy favourite.
Nottingham Forest romped through preseason, including a 4-1 demolition of Vancouver Rise Academy. Lois Shooter bagged five goals in four matches. If that's not a Fantasy flag, nothing is.
Sheffield United drew with Stoke and lost to Liverpool - hardly inspiring after a tough previous campaign. Southampton's sole reported result was their defeat to Bristol City. Not much to go on there.
Sunderland beat Hibernian 2-0, with Elise Hughes and Katy Watson on target. Hughes's scoring record makes her worth a punt, as WSL Football reports.
Watford thumped Wrexham 5-1, though the goals were spread around. Patience advised. Wolverhampton's Amber Hughes, Louanne Worsey and Ellen Jones offer intriguing cheap forward options after a mixed preseason.
