The WNBA has confirmed that its 2027 All-Star Game will be held at Chase Center in San Francisco on 31 July, with All-Star Weekend festivities kicking off the day before. The shooting skills challenge and 3-point shootout are both scheduled for 30 July.
It's fitting timing for the Golden State Valkyries, who have taken the league by storm since launching as an expansion team in 2023. The franchise leads the WNBA in attendance and has racked up an extraordinary 41 consecutive sellouts at their home arena. They recently secured a playoff spot this season following a victory over Dallas.
The Bay Area continues to cement itself as a premier destination for major sporting events. San Francisco has already hosted the Super Bowl and FIFA World Cup in 2026, and the MLB All-Star Game is set to follow in 2028.
Mayor Daniel Laurie expressed pride in the announcement, describing San Francisco as a hub for sport and declaring that the city's enthusiasm for women's athletics will be on full display during All-Star Weekend.
