Ketlen Vieira will no longer face Macy Chiasson at UFC Fight Night 234 after the Brazilian bantamweight was forced to withdraw due to injury.
The UFC confirmed the bout has been scrapped. While the promotion has not officially disclosed the nature of the problem, Vieira posted on Instagram showing her left knee being iced and treated, expressing hope for a swift recovery.
The event, set for 13 January at the UFC Apex in Las Vegas, will push ahead with 12 bouts despite the loss of the Vieira-Chiasson matchup, Sherdog reports.
Magomed Ankalaev and Johnny Walker headline the card, with Matheus Nicolau taking on Manel Kape in the co-main event.
