New boss, same mission

Maider Castillo takes charge of La Real for the first time today as the club kick off their Liga F campaign at Zubieta against Logroño United (12:00 CET).

Castillo steps up following Arturo Ruiz's departure to Brighton, where he signed a deal running until 2029. Fernando Torres and Aitor Resende have been overseeing training in the transition, as OneFootball reports.

Dominant record

History is firmly on La Real's side. They've never lost to Logroño United in the league - five wins and two draws from seven meetings. Their most recent clash in March finished 1-1.

A positive pre-season, bolstered by fresh signings and academy graduates, has the squad hungry for all three points before a looming fixture against Chelsea.

Expected XI

Julia Arrula should start in goal. A back four of Laborde, Apari, Florentino, and Moraza lines up in front of her. Isasasmendi, Fernández, and Eizagirre are tipped to anchor midfield, with Cecilia, Egiguren, and Seelenefreud forming the attack.
