Lauren Hemp is on the verge of joining a very exclusive club. The Manchester City forward is set to rack up her 200th appearance for the side when they kick off their WSL campaign against Birmingham City - making her just the fourth player in the club's history to hit the landmark.
Not bad for someone who only turned up from Bristol City back in May 2018.
In seven seasons at City, Hemp has collected six major honours and 152 WSL appearances. She first graced the league as a teenager with Bristol City in April 2017, and has barely paused since.
Her attacking output is frankly ridiculous. She tops the WSL charts for open-play chances created, sits joint-first for crosses delivered, and has won possession in the final third 196 times - a figure matched by nobody since records began, OneFootball reports.
Hemp finished as the WSL's top assist provider in both 2023/24 and 2024/25. She's been named to the league's Team of the Year on three occasions and scooped the PFA Young Player of the Year award a staggering four times.
At this rate, they might need to rename it after her.
