Late drama denies Häcken in Damallsvenskan showdown

BK Häcken were moments away from a tenth straight win in the Damallsvenskan before Malmö snatched a stoppage-time equaliser to earn a share of the spoils.

Maja Bodin, who has been in scintillating form since joining Häcken, opened the scoring in the 22nd minute. Tabby Tindell delivered the assist and Bodin headed home after the ball took a deflection off a Malmö defender. It was her sixth goal in just four appearances for the club.

Anvegård injury clouds result

The frustration of dropping two points was compounded by an injury to captain Anna Anvegård, who was forced off late in the game in visible discomfort. The severity of her injury is not yet known.

Title race tightens

Häcken remain top of the table despite the draw, but Hammarby are now just two points behind. Malmö sit third, 16 points adrift of the leaders, as SVT reports.
