Neville Heads to Watford

Grace Neville has swapped Ipswich Town for Watford, joining on a season-long loan. She becomes the club's 13th summer signing - unlucky for some, but Watford will be hoping the number proves anything but.

The 26-year-old defender knows the Barclays WSL2 inside out, as WSL Full-Time reports.

A Well-Travelled Career

Neville launched her senior career at Millwall Lionesses before switching to London City Lionesses in 2019. That move paid off handsomely - she helped them clinch the WSL2 title and secure promotion to the Barclays Women's Super League in 2024/2025.

She then moved to Ipswich Town on a free transfer, racking up 14 appearances last season as the club held their place in WSL2.

International Pedigree

Originally capped at youth level by England, Neville changed allegiance to New Zealand. She's since earned 14 senior caps for the Ford Football Ferns, debuting in early 2023. Not a bad CV for a player still only 26.
