SKN St. Pölten face a daunting task this Wednesday evening as they travel to Stadio La Marmora-Pozzo in Biella, needing to overturn a three-goal deficit against Juventus in the third qualifying round of the UEFA Women's Champions League.
The Austrian side were thoroughly outplayed in the first leg, falling 3-0. Tatiana Pinto opened the scoring after just eight minutes, Martina Rosucci doubled the lead before half-time, and Pinto struck again ten minutes from the final whistle to give Juventus a commanding advantage.
The numbers paint a bleak picture for St. Pölten. Across 15 European fixtures against Italian clubs, they are yet to record a single victory.
