Men's shortlist packed with silverware

France Football has unveiled its nominees for the 2026 Ballon d'Or Coach of the Year - and the men's list reads like a roll call of trophy-hoarding tacticians.

Luis Enrique earns his spot after steering Paris Saint-Germain to back-to-back Champions League crowns. Mikel Arteta is recognised for ending Arsenal's 22-year wait for a Premier League title, while Luis de la Fuente gets the nod following La Roja's World Cup exploits.

Unai Emery rounds out a strong Premier League contingent, having guided Aston Villa to Europa League glory and a top-four finish. Vincent Kompany completes the shortlist courtesy of Bayern Munich's Bundesliga triumph.

Women's award features continental champions

The women's category is equally compelling. Jonatan Giráldez of OL Lyon, Manchester City's Andrée Jeglertz, and FC Barcelona's Pere Romeu all feature alongside former Japan national team boss Nils Nielsen.
