FC Red Bull Salzburg Frauen claimed their second ADMIRAL Frauen Bundesliga victory of the season with a controlled 2-0 win over FC Blau-Weiß Linz/Kleinmünchen - but the triumph came at a cost.

Greta Spinn was forced off early with a suspected serious injury and had to be taken from the pitch by ambulance, casting a shadow over an otherwise dominant display.

Fast start sets the tone

Salzburg were on the front foot from the whistle, with Maria Plattner firing the first shot of the match just 34 seconds in. The hosts maintained that intensity throughout the first half, and it paid off in the 37th minute when Katja Wienerroither found the net following a well-crafted move involving Lena Triendl.

Emelie Kobler doubled the advantage in the 66th minute, finishing off a sustained spell of pressure in the attacking third.
