The league examined footage of Clark making brief contact with an official during Indiana's clash with the Chicago Sky and determined the incident did not warrant a technical. The call had initially been recorded as Clark's eighth technical of the season - a threshold that triggers both a fine and an automatic one-game ban.
Former WNBA player and analyst Chiney Ogwumike voiced her support for the decision, describing the contact as incidental. With the technical wiped from the record, Clark's season tally now sits at seven.
The timing could hardly be better for Indiana. Their win over the Sky lifted the Fever to 20-12, slotting them back into fourth place in the WNBA standings ahead of a tough test against the Liberty.
Losing Clark for that fixture would have been a significant blow. She remains on thin ice, however - one more technical this season and the suspension kicks in automatically.
