Caitlin Clark will sit out one game after picking up her eighth technical foul of the season during a contest against the Chicago Sky. Under WNBA rules, the accumulation automatically triggers a one-game suspension - an enforced absence the Indiana Fever can ill afford.

Overtime heartbreak against the Aces

The suspension compounds what has already been a bruising spell for Clark and the Fever. In an 86-84 overtime defeat to the Las Vegas Aces, Clark finished with 20 points and eight assists but was haunted by eight turnovers and costly missed free throws down the stretch.

Indiana squandered a 20-point lead and failed to close the game out despite being ahead in the dying moments of both regulation and overtime.

Clark shoulders the blame

At the post-game press conference, Clark was unflinching in her self-assessment. She pointed to her missed free throws as a source of deep frustration and accepted personal responsibility for the result.

Coach Stephanie White conceded the team's issues ran deeper than one player, highlighting points conceded off turnovers and a failure to call a timeout at a pivotal juncture. Guard Kelsey Mitchell also missed a late free throw that added to Indiana's woes.
