Montler's Comeback Performance
Thobias Montler, who has faced challenges due to injuries, made a significant impact by winning the long jump with a distance of 8.23 meters. This jump marks his longest competitive effort in nearly three years, as he last jumped 8.27 meters in Greece on May 25, 2022. Montler's performance was particularly noteworthy as it came in the fifth round of the competition, positioning him ahead of Olympic champion Miltiadis Tengoglou.
Lester Lescay's Achievement
Spanish long jumper Lester Lescay, who recently obtained Spanish nationality, also had a commendable performance. He finished fifth in the long jump with a distance of 7.95 meters, meeting the minimum requirement set by the Royal Spanish Athletics Federation for the upcoming European Championships in Apeldoorn. Lescay's jump followed a previous victory in Astana, where he achieved a jump of 7.91 meters.

During the competition, Lescay began with a jump of 7.80 meters and improved to 7.89 meters on his second attempt. In addition to Montler's victory, American Isaac Grimes secured second place with a jump of 8.13 meters, while Bulgarian Bozhidar Saraboyukov took third with a mark of 8.06 meters.
