F1 Driver’s Penalty Points: Who Is Close To A Race Ban?
In a sport as fast-paced and dangerous as Formula 1 is, there has to be clear rules and regulations in regards to what is allowed and not during a race. These infingements are looked at by the stewards, and penalty points are rewarded to those that do not follow the regulated driving standards.

Alongside time penalties, driving infringements also carry penalty points to ensure driving standards are maintained.
These points expire after 12 months have elapsed, but will result in a race ban should 12 points be accrued during this period.
