Demarai Gray Join Al-Ettifaq in £8m Move from Everton

In a recent development, Everton winger, Demarai Gray, has completed a move to the Saudi Pro League, joining the ranks of Al-Ettifaq. The two clubs have settled on an £8m transfer agreement.

The 27-year-old footballer have penned down a four-year agreement with the Saudi outfit.

Notably, Gray will be in the company of football legends such as Steven Gerrard, the current manager of Al-Ettifaq, and midfielder Jordan Henderson. Additionally, the club has also recently welcomed Georginio Wijnaldum and Moussa Dembele, reflecting its ambitious pursuits.

This decision to release Gray came after he was conspicuously absent from Everton's first four Premier League matches. The winger had taken to Instagram, indicating a sense of discontent with the perceived lack of "respect" at the club. In light of his sentiments and the fact that he missed a full pre-season, Everton's management opted for a decision that would benefit both parties.

Everton's head coach, Sean Dyche, voiced his perspective on the matter. Referring to Gray's social media statement, Dyche remarked, "Demarai told us a move was done, which was interesting to hear from a player. We reminded him of the truth of the fact that no moves are done without this club’s say so."
